Plots With A View

Earlier today, we had such a great time at the Tri-Nation Rugby match, where the Australian defeated the South African team.

Back home however, there was a different thing, since there was nothing much to see on telly.
*bummer*

And it was a tad bit cold to head out to the local pub/club tonight too.

So we ended up hiring a DVD to watch, Plots With A View, starring Alfred Molina (the villain Doc Ock in Spider-man 2, and also one of the actor in Frida, and Chocolat).

As usual, it was Neil who picked the movie, since if he left the decision to me, that would probably mean him having to sit through an endless varieties of Hollywood blockbuster crap (hehe.. I just can't help it!), and (NOT)surprisingly the choices Neil's made were always pleasant to watch.

This British comedy, has about the similar subject to the other movie I've seen before (starring the French actor Jean Reno), which was dealing with funerals and cemetery land plot. But that's where it all ends.

Plots With A View heads in a different direction when a funeral director (Alfred Molina) decided to declare his undying love to the one woman he had always been in love with, but the only catch is that woman is now (un)happily married, to the biggest jerk in town - the Town Mayor!

So, the whole movie deals with the effort of Alfred scheming to find a way so that he could be together with the woman he love.

There's also some hilarious segment of the war between the funeral directors, where Alfred normally do a conventional funeral arrangement, his competitor (a role played by Christopher Walken, who seemed to be having one whale of an enjoyable time) decide to go one step further, and introduce all this special funeral themes. (Do expect some Star Trek and Elvis references, but you got to see it to enjoy it!)

I really glad I watched the show.
