The Vikings' Invasion

Hehehe.. That's what IKEA in Kuala Lumpur normally announced everytime they are having their annual sale. I wonder whether they still use the same theme in their print ad.

Anyway, getting to my point.

Yup, it's THAT time of the year again. IKEA here in Perth is having its sale too. *woohoo!* The sale has been going on for at least a week, but we've decided to NOT even think of going there, considering the possibilities of getting squashed in between the crowds who would also be there hoping to get some great bargains.

Not until last night anyway.

Hubby saw an IKEA ad in the day's paper featuring some table lamp we've been eyeing but just couldn't quite decide. So, we headed there and we were so lucky to actually GET a parking spot! After all, it was Thursday night late trading there (and don't even think of getting here on Saturday mornings.. it's a nightmare!)

We stood infront of the particular lamp, for a while but still weren't sure whether it would suit the guest bedroom. Good price but not quite the colour. And we nearly gave up, and started moving to leave the aisle when lo and behold, we saw another one called: Stalaktit!

One look and we BOTH agreed it was the one. The good thing about it was that it was NOT made of plastic at all. REAL steel base, post and semi-spherical shade, with REAL glass cover for the light globe. At AUD$19.90 we couldn't be happier.. and we got TWO of them! Haha..

Since the guest bedroom's done, we could now just concentrate on the Dining and Family area. Now, where can we find a decent looking modern design dining table..?! *hmmmm..* :-/
